This HBO series takes place in Atlantic City in New Jersey during the prohibition era. Over it's course, the series has won twelve Emmy Awards and over 30 nominations. A Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series-Drama was also won.
The Drama focuses on Enoch 'Nucky' Thompson who is a political figure who controlled Atlantic City during the prohibition period. The series revolves around his interaction with other political figures, politicians and mobsters. He lives a lavish lifestyle and soon he gains attention of the Federal Government becoming aware of his involvement in bootlegging and other illegal activities.
