Malcolm in the Middle is an American sitcom aired on the Fox network . Malcolm in the Middle has received critical acclaim, receiving seven Emmy awards, and seven Golden Globes. Malcolm in the Middle focuses on Malcolm, a rather normal boy except for his genius level I.Q., and his family, who are not quite so normal. Malcolm's parents, Lois and Hal, have problems keeping their four (later five) children in line. Malcolm's two older brothers, Francis (who was a rebel sent to military school) and Reese (the local bully) continue to harass Malcolm and his younger brother Dewey.
