Major Dad is an American sitcom for CBS that aired in 1989.

Major Dad revolves around the changed life of gung ho marine commander and bachelor Major John D. MacGillis when he marries a journalist with three daughters from a previous marriage.  Most of the comedic elements of the show come from the Major learning to deal with his new family.
