Neil Patrick Harris plays, Dr. Doogie Howser a young teenager who is so highly intelligent that he did not have a normal childhood.  Instead, he pursued a career as a doctor since the age of fourteen.  The series ran for 97 epiodes from September 19, 1989 to March 24, 1993 and each episode would deal with the choice Doogie had to make as a Doctor but also as a teenage boy who never got to really experience a normal childhood with his friends.
