Melba was an American sitcom that bears the dubious double distinction of both premiering on the day of the space shuttle Challenger disaster and giving CBS its worst evening of ratings in history.
Melba was about a divorced mother and her tribulations raising her nine year old daughter and dealing with her mother and sister as well. Only 6 episodes aired on CBS from January 28, 1986 to September 13, 1986 prior to being cancelled due to low ratings.
