L.A. Law is an American legal drama series created for NBC and aired starting in 1986.

L.A. Law featured an array of stylistic aspects that would later influence many other legal dramas to come later. L.A. Law took many of the cases for its episodes right from the headlines of the current events of the day, tackling hot-button issues such as abortion, gay rights, AIDS, and domestic violence.
