The show focused around Angela Channing, a treacherous, overbearing head of the family who was in charge of the Falcon Crest vineyards. Angela's respectable nephew, Chase Gioberti was new in town and had just received a part of the Falcon Crest vineyards and winery from his belated father, Jason Gioberti. The opposition between Angela and Chase is what the series is all about and many encounters occur due to their rivalry.
