Arthur 'Big Guy' Carlson attempts to take over an inadequate Cincinnati radio station owned by his stern mother. His inability to run the station is surpassed by the peculiar workers that are employed at the station. From wild Disc Jockeys Dr. Johnny Fever and Venus Flytrap to the nerdy news director, Les Nessman and annoying advertising sales manager, Herb Tarlek causes the craziness at the station. Fortunately he does have assistance from more normal employees such as Bailey Quarters, the quiet journalism major, Jennifer Marlowe, the gorgeous secretary who is not the typical blonde and Andy Travis, the handsome program director, Carlson tries everything he can to make the radio station huge.
