Practicing law in Santa Barbara, California, Owen Marshall was a thoughtful and sympathetic attorney whose job it was to defend his clients. Working with his young assistants he would meet with his clients and prepare their defense, and then represent them at trial.
Guest stars on the series included John Travolta, Rory Calhoun, Farrah Fawcett, Mark Hamill, Ricky Nelson, Dick Sargent and Susan Strasberg.
