Scooby Doo, Where Are You?, more commonly known just as Scooby Doo, is a long running and extremely popular animated children's show starring a loveable and yet cowardly and clumsy Great Dane named Scooby Doo.  Scooby Doo, Where Are You? featured rather formulaic writing, having a group of teenagers, Fred, Velma, Daphne, Shaggy and Scooby, out driving in their van, dubbed the Mystery Machine.  The van would invariably break down near some abandoned facility, (mansion, amusement park, hotel , etc.) which would have a reputation for being haunted.  As the teenagers investigate the haunting , which involves the group splitting up and Shaggy and Scooby trying to find food, the group would discover clues leading to the conclusion that the ghost or monster is fake and an elaborate plot to capture the creature.  Whether the plot would work or not, the villain would be captured and unmasked, usually with the tagline, "And I would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for you meddling kids!"
