The Second Hundred Years is a sitcom for ABC based on a rather unlikely premise.  Lucius "Luke" Carpenter left his family and travelled to Alaska in 1900 during the gold rush .  Shortly after Luke's arrival on his claim, an avalanche occurred and trapped him in a state of frozen, suspended animation.  Luke was discovered and thawed out 67 years later, and returns to live with his now elderly son Edwin who lives in Southern California.  In addition to adapting to modern life, Luke also has to deal with his grandson Ken, who is the spitting image of Luke and the same age to boot!

26 episodes aired on ABC from September 6, 1967 to September 19, 1968
