The F.B.I. aired on ABC for a total of 9 seasons from September 19, 1965 to April 28, 1974 and 240 episodes with a running time of 1 hour each episode. It was sponsored by Ford Motor Company. The series was based from the 1959 Warner Brothers film, "The F.B.I. Story" starring James Stewart.
Plot centered around fictional accounts of actual F.B.I. cases. Some episodes ended with a 'most wanted' segment noting the most wanted criminal of the day.
