My Favorite Martian was an American television sitcom that ran for three seasons and a total of 107 episodes that aired on CBS from September 29, 1963 to May 1, 1966. Seventy five of the episodes were done in black and white and thirty two were filmed in color. Like many other television series during the same time as this one, the main characters were capable of doing things uncommon and out of the ordinary.
The storyline is about a one man spaceship that crash lands in Los Angeles. The 'pilot' of the ship is from Mars and works as an anthropologist. The other main character is Tim O’Hara, a newspaper reporter who is driving home from work, and sees the spaceship crash. Tim takes this Martian from Mars home and lets him live with him while he fixes his spaceship. Tim agrees not to tell anyone who or where the Martian came from. The Martian character has various unusual powers and each episode centers around the relationship between the young reporter, Tim, and this Martian.
