Beetle Bailey is one of the longest running comic strips, and in 1963 Beetle and Sarge and the entire collection of misfits at Camp Swampy got their own animated TV show.  45 episodes were created, each with a running time of 6 minutes.  Beetle and his pals only lasted one season on TV, but the comic strip created by Mort Walker in 1950 is still going strong.
