TV Sitcom Pilot with Candy Moore as a teenager.  Time Out For Ginger was based on a Broadway comedy that was performed on stage at the Lyceum Theatre and ran a total of 248 performances. 

The play production starred the main character, Melvyn Douglas as Howard carol who was a husband and father to three daughters.  He worked at a bank and the play takes place in Chicago.  One of his daughters, Ginger wants to try out for the school football team and her father tries to support her wishes, however between his boss at work and the rest of the community, he begins to feel tremendous pressure put on him for his daughters choice.  The television series was not as successful as the play.  It was directed by Andrew McCullough.
