Following General Electric Theater's cancellation in 1962, the series was replaced in the same time slot by the short-lived GE-sponsored G.E. True Theater, hosted and produced by Jack Webb for 33 episodes during his stint as head of Warner Bros. Television. G.E. True Theater ran from September 30, 1962 until May 26, 1963.  Several episodes of the series were directed by William Conrad.
