Pete and Gladys was an American comedy that aired on CBS from September 19, 1960 to September 10, 1962. It was a spin off from the show December Bride . A total of two seasons and 72 episodes aired. The show 's plot was a variation of I Love Lucy .
The main character, Gladys Porter, who is married to Pete Porter, is a nagging, annoying wife on the show December Bride . She would complain and moan about everything Pete did, but when it became the Pete and Gladys show her character was portrayed as a normal and pleasant wife. The downfall was the show did not last as long as it possibly could have had they kept her character as a nag.
