Chucko the Birthday Clown

Actor, Charles Runyon portrayed Chucko the Birthday Clown on Los Angeles ABC channel 7 from 1955 through 1963.  The television program later moved to air on channel 11 between 1963 and 1964.  His clown character always wore a merry-go-round hat that would actually spin, and a white striped clown suit, matching white gloves, red painted on lips and blue eyebrows.  Each show was one hour long and would incorporate cartoons and game with a live audience who were celebrating a birthday.
