The Soupy Sales show also known as, "Lunch with Soupy Sales" starred Milton Supman who at first was a disk jockey but then became a comedian, singer and dancer.   First his television career began on WKRC-TV with, "Soupy's Soda Shop" a late night comedy program.   Upon cancellation of this show he relocated to Cleveland, Ohio and hosted another radio and television series called, "Soupy's On".  His most well known children's television show was, "Lunch with Soupy" which was later known as The Soupy Sales Show. 

The show consisted of slaptick comedy, comedy sketches, gags and puns.  The show ran from 1953 and by 1959 is was a nationally broadcast show in ABC.  The show ran until 1962 when it was then cancelled.  However, in 1964 he got another opportunity in New York City on WNEW-TV to run his show from September 1966 for 260 episodes.  There was then another new Soupy Show aired in 1978 and ran for one season and a total 65 episodes. 

Some of the zany characters appearing in his live tv show were White Fang, Black Tooth, Pooky the Lion and Hippy the Hippo.

Soupy was also a regular panelist on the syndicated revival of What's My Line from 1968 to 1975?

Milton aka Soupy Sales passed away in October 2009.
