Arthur Godfrey Time was broadcast as a daily morning radio program beginning in 1945, and was simulcast on radio and television beginning in 1952. The television program was a morning variety show hosted by Arthur Godfrey and airing Monday through Thursday on CBS.
The show featured Godfrey, affectionately known as ‘the ol’ redhead’, doing monologues, playing his ukulele, and included appearances by many, at the time, little known performers.
