Cartoon Screen Songs B

(1929 - 1951)

Many people today enjoy gathering together and enjoying a fun session of karaoke.  But what did we do before there were karaoke machines, etc.?

The answer is – people enjoyed cartoon screen songs

Produced by Fleischer Studios, the Screen Songs series was distributed by Paramount Pictures from 1929 to 1938, and then another series began in 1945, produced by Famous Studios.

The Screen Songs feature popular songs of the day, with audiences encouraged to sing along and ‘follow the bouncing ball’.
