Drama
Cast: Margaret Hayes, Howard Culver, Tony Barrett
Inheritance was a late age radio show that broadcast for the first time on July 4, 1954. Inheritance was a joint venture between NBC Studios and the American Legion. The American Legion is better known as a political action committee made up by several Congressmen, Senators, and businessmen that were key influencers of the ‘Red Scare’ of the 1950s. Very little documentation about this show remains, however many influential listeners of old time radio are of the opinion that Inheritance was something of a propaganda tool of the conservative, anticommunist movement that gripped America in the fifties. Inheritance was also picked up by the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service to be broadcast overseas in its entirety.
