Life With Luigi was a comedy drama show that aired on CBS between 1948 and 1953, before transferring to television in 1953. Life With Luigi was created by Cy Howard, who had also created a hit show with " My Friend Irma ".
Life With Luigi chronicled the humorous adventures of Luigi Brasco, an Italian immigrant trying to make it in Chicago. One of the common settings for the show was a classroom where a group of immigrants from all over the world were trying to learn the material needed to gain citizenship. Life With Luigi was frequently compared to another radio show, " The Goldbergs ", which told the tale of a Jewish immigrant family in New York City .
