Bulldog Drummond was a British veteran of World War I who set himself up as a private detective with his sidekick Denny.  The character was created by writer Herman Cyril McNeile in his series of novels published between 1920 and 1954.

As his name suggests, Bulldog will let nothing get in the way between him and closing a case, going after killers, counterfeiters, and especially his arch-nemesis Carl Peterson.
