War of the Worlds was a Halloween episode of the American radio drama anthology series Mercury Theatre on the Air. The show was an adaptation of H.G. Well's novel 'The War of the Worlds' and the narrator was Orson Welles. At first, radio listeners really thought that martians were invading Earth.
