Moments That Changed History (1891-1984)

Moments That Changed History

(1891-1984)

Family / News

Moments That Changed History is not a specific radio show in its own right, but rather is a collection of some of the most influential and historical broadcasts that were heard over the past one hundred years.  Many of these are snippets of newscasts bringing word of dramatic events as they transpired.  Declarations of war, surrenders, disasters and speeches all make up a tremendous volume of work that is recorded and lives on to this day.

Recordings include the audio report on the Hindenburg disaster, speeches by Winston Churchill, Adolf Hitler and others, reports of the death of Hitler, President Truman's report on the use of the atomic bomb, Babe Ruth's farewell to baseball, and speeches by many American Presidents.
