Huck Cheever is a poker player in Las Vegas.  He is a genius at his game, yet lets his emotions get the best of him.  Huck must come up with $10,000 for the poker World Series entry fee.  He ends up winning, losing, borrowing, and even stealing from Billie Offer, an honest young woman who gets his attention.  Huck is in deep trouble by the time the tournament begins.  To make matters worse, his father arrives whom he despises for leaving his mother, and he is here to play.
