The Majestic trailer

The film takes place in Hollywood during 1951. Peter Appleton is a young screenwriter full of enthusiasm who has a job at the HHS Studios. The film "Ashes to Ashes" is about to come out and the beautiful starlet of the film is Sandra Sinclair, whom he is dating. Everything is going smoothly, until his college days are exposed. He inadvertently accompanied his girlfriend at the time to a Communist meeting and from there supposition surrounds him and might have to prove himself to Congress. HHS lets Appleton go and terminates the release of his film. Feeling sorry for himself, Appleton goes to bar where he spends most of the night at and drives under the influence where he ends up plunging into a wild river. He wakes up in a small town by the name of Lawson.
