James Garner is back at it again in Maverick, a role he starred on television in the late 1950's. Maverick is more of a con man than a fighter. He has a love for gambling and is in need of three thousand dollars to enter a Winner Take All poker game. He goes about his strategies in a different manner and teams up with a woman gambler to enter the game. The woman has a great southern accent, yet not real.
