Dirty Dancing trailer

The film is set during the year of 1963, where Frances 'Baby' Houseman goes to the Catskill Mountains with her prosperous family to spend their summer vacation at Kellerman’s, a nice resort. She quickly becomes attracted to Patrick Swayze’s character, Johnny Castle, the dance teacher at the resort.

She becomes fascinated with the “dirty dancing” she watches one day during a class, for she has never seen anything like it. Johnny gives her a quick lesson on the dance moves. Later in the film, she finds out that Johnny’s dance partner, Penny Johnson is troubled over the news of her pregnancy. Robbie Gould, is the playboy waiter who got her pregnant and also happens to be the boyfriend of her sister Lisa. Gould wants nothing to do with the pregnancy, so Baby helps Penny out with her illegal abortion by paying for it with money her father gave to her. Her father does not question what the money will be used for since he has so much trust in Baby. Baby also helps Penny in taking her place as a dancer, while she recuperates. The show she will be performing at is one her and Johnny do every year and Johnny must teach her everything he knows in order for to be a success at the show

Love and heated arguments erupt while Baby becomes Johnny’s student. They do well in their performance, even though she does not complete her last jump in the dance. When they arrive at the resort, they discover that Penny’s abortion was poorly done. Penny cannot stand the pain of it, so Baby takes her to her father, who is a doctor. He becomes upset with Baby for lying to him and thinks Johnny is the one who got Penny pregnant, so he prohibits her from hanging out with him and his group. She does not listen to him, and secretly finds a way to see him which results in their romance growing more and more. Their romance is exposed when he is suspected of stealing a wallet from the one of the residents. Baby sacrifices herself and declares it was impossible, for he was with her that same night. Despite her family being against their relationship, she continues on with Johnny and dance their best dance during the middle of another show.
