With the cavalry stretched to it's breaking point across the southwest in ongoing battles with the Apache, the U.S. Government decides to send a new Gatling Gun to each outpost to aid in their protection. When one of the guns is stolen a ragtag bunch of cavalry must embark on a mission to find it and bring it back. During the mission the troopers encounter a family on the run from the Apache. Soon all must fight a bitter and nearly hopeless battle against a war party of more than a hundred Apache fighters to regain the Gatling and save themselves.
