An English noble is apprehended by Indians in 1825 (Rosebud Sioux tribe of South Dakota ). After being subjected to indignities and excrutiating pain and suffering by being treated as no better than a wild animal he later becomes part of their lives and starts to sympathize and acknowledge their way of life. He is later acknowledged as part of them and becomes their commander.
