An innocent couple and a child are traveling to San Antonio, Texas and stop in town to buy a farm there where there is a poker game going on between the wealthiest men. Although Meredith is not a great poker player, he enters the competition betting all the money his family has. During the game, he has a heart-attack, leaving his wife to take his place, but she does not have any notion on how to play the game.
