The skeptical Miss Marple finds the death of aging and rich Mr. Enderby suspicious after he dies of a heart attack. She starts to wonder who or what caused the heart attack. Enderby's poor family members meet up at the Gallop, a joined boarding-house and riding school. Miss Marple decides to go to the Gallop as well to see if any of his relatives had any intention to see him pass away.
