This story changes the definition of sibling competition when wasted actresses/sisters Blanche and Baby Jane decide to live together. Jane holds a grudge with Blanche for being a better actress than she, for Jane was more famous during the days she worked with her father. Things changed as she got older though and all the attention went to Blanche. However Blanche’s life has changed for the worst since she is restrained to a wheelchair since Jane drunkenly ran her over in her car. Jane does not remember the accident, but takes advantage of Blanche being in a wheelchair. She places a lot of restriction on Blanche each day. She does not want her to have any relationships with anyone, taking letter that are sent to Blanche. Clearly Jane has gone crazy and continues to severely persecute Blanche.
