Old Miss Marple corroborates a murder on a train across from her while on a train herself. She informs the authorities about it, yet they do not believe her for there is no body to be found anywhere. As usual, she starts investigating herself. She knows the murder happened while passing through Ackenthorpe Hall, so she gets a job there as a cook and maid to find answers.
