Neil Hendry still remembers a tragic event in his past, but tries to put it all behind him when he begins at a new high school as a teacher. The more problematic teens take a liking to him for his laid back and kind ways and even the principal's secretary notices him. He helps the teens with their issues, but the principal is not fond of the close relationships he is building with the students and the staff.
