John Hamilton has an easy going job in New York as an artist. His drunken wife despises his lifestyle and accuses him of many things he isn’t, including being abusive to her. People becomes suspicious of him after she all of the sudden vanishes. The residents of the town turn against him and all he can rely on are the children he has becomes friends with.
