The film is set during World War I in the 1930's. Roger Schumann is an expert at flying planes, but is told not to do his famous stunts as much as he used to. His family comes second best to his first passion, the airplane. Burke Devlin, a reporter comes to do an interview on Schumann and how his life has turned out. He is disappointed by the outcome of Shumann’s life, but is immediately attracted to his beautiful wife, LaVerne.
