Mr. Franz is an insane doll-maker who is horrified at the thought of being left alone, so he invents an apparatus that can condense humans to a couple inches tall. He uses his new invention on a group of people for his performance and keep him from being alone. His secretary, Sally, and her fiancé, Bob, are part of the group he shrinks and will not settle for this new life. They plan a way to flee and get back to their regular size.
