Michael Ray is a Mexican boy who takes in a bull known as Gitano after rescuing him during a storm. They become close, but the bull's owner arrives to find the animal to send it off to a bullring to fight. The President of Mexico is touched by the boy's condition and signs a 'pardon' for the bull, yet he is too late in preventing the bull from going into the bullring.
