The film is set during World War II, on a small ship part of the U.S. Pacific vessel. The Navy undergoes an experience they have never been through before, when the captain of the ship is released of his duties in an act of rebellion by his executive officer. More news is revealed and it is soon discovered that the Captain of the ship was not mentally stable. Now the Navy must come to a decision on what to do.
