Robert and Nina decide to end their marriage after eight years. He teams up with his playboy Navy pal, Charlie Nelson, while she goes to her mother for advice and support. They both end up seeing other people and try to ignore one another each time they bump into each other. It is apparent they still have feelings for each other and are at the same nightclub one night doing the mambo together.
