This film stars Glenn Ford as John Stroud who is labeled a coward after he leaves the Alamo during the war for Texas independence against the overwhelming army forces of the Mexican leader Generalisimo Santa Ana in order to help some families, but never gets the chance to complete his assignment. He decides to pervade a group of rebels since he is unable to bring them to justice as planned.
