This film centers on two stories told by Dr. Alton. One is about Glen, who secretly dresses as a woman but is afraid to tell his fiancée, Barbara. The other is about Alan, a pseudo hermaphrodite who wants to become a woman and does so by going through a risky operation. The Scientist is the second narrator who informs us of the philosophical ideas surrounding the subject matter. Insp. Warren learns more about men in women’s clothes after investigating the suicide of a transvestite.
