Danny Wilson and collaborator Mike do not have the best of jobs, singing in small bars and playing pool. Their lives change when they encounter performer Joy Carroll, who helps them find a job at Nick Driscoll's elegant nightclub. Nick becomes greedy and wants half of Danny’s earnings. Danny ends up becoming successful, but his relationship with Joy is not the best for him.
