A gold prospector is about to commit suicide as two volunteer firemen save him. They travel with him to Alaska to search for his girl after they realize the police want them for a murder they did not commit. When they arrive to Alaska, they find everyone in town wants the prospector dead. Abbott and Costello must keep him alive or they will be in trouble for the murder charge.
