A love triangle indeed, Mae Doyle returns to her hometown as a bitter woman. Her brother Joe is in love with Peggy . They marry one another, but he is scared she will turn out like Mae. They have a baby together and although she is content, she is also uneasy and attracted to Jerry’s friend Earl.
