Hugh and Miriam Halsworth are in the middle of a divorce, which is finalized at midnight. Hugh has no interest in divorcing Miriam, but things get complicated when Miriam’s old flame, Victor Macfarland arrives in town and stays at the hotel where Hugh works. Miriam’s daughter Barbara favors Hugh, while son-in-law Jerry favors Victor. It seems like she is going to need more time to think on this situation.
