U.S. Marshall Gene Autry and his deputy, Scat Russell (Pat Buttram), cross into Canada while pursuing bank robbers Pierre LaBlond (Carleton Young) and Raoul Duval (Trevor Bardette).  They meet wounded Mountie Terry Dillon (Richard Emory) whose partner was murdered by the robbers.  Duval and part of his gang are captured in a Mountie raid which also uncovers the stolen U.S. gold. LaBlond is able to free the robbers, leading to a vicious gunfight.
